Our client wanted their old double sliding window removed and replaced with a new one. They ended up deciding on a Vanguard End Vent Sliding Window. Our crew cut off the old sill face in order to install a new, longer sill face that fit under the new casings, and finished off the installation by adding exterior casing to the window.
In the before picture you see a 30-year-old window on a home that was built in 1988. The problem with windows this old is trying to find the easiest way to install new ones. Most contractors' approach is to remove all interior and exterior trim, install the new window, and then install all new interior and exterior trim. At A&A Services, we don't do that. We developed an installation method that saves time and money but still delivers top quality windows. In the after picture, you see the interior view of the new window, which is a Sunrise Vanguard window. The interior trim was able to be saved because our team installed the window from the exterior with minor exterior modifications.
